Oscar Lee Thomason, Jr.

Oscar Lee Thomason, Jr., 96, of Troutman, passed away peacefully Monday, April 20, 2026, at his home.

Oscar was born on April 16, 1930, in Durham, North Carolina, to the late Oscar Lee Thomason and Hazel Calloway Thomason. He was a graduate of Rural Hall High School in Rural Hall, North Carolina, and was employed by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in Winston-Salem. Oscar was a devoted member of Salem Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. In his free time, he enjoyed photography, camping, and cutting wood.

Oscar is survived by his wife of 75 years, Audrey McBride Thomason; son, Samuel Thomason, and daughter-in-law, Allison Thomason and of Troutman, NC; granddaughter, Amy Troxell her husband, Joshua Troxell, and great grandson, Zander Troxell of New Bern, NC; granddaughter, Ashley Thomason of Raleigh, NC; and great granddogs, Tucker Thomason and Lilah Thomason.

There are no services planned at this time.
