Audrey McBride Thomason

Audrey McBride Thomason, 95, of Troutman, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Audrey was born on May 29, 1931, in Winston-Salem to the late Kenneth G. McBride and Mildred Moore McBride. She graduated from Mineral Springs High School and was a devoted member of Salem Baptist Church. For more than 20 years, she faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher in the church's Primary Department, touching the lives of countless children through her dedication and faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Oscar Thomason, Jr.

Audrey is survived by her son, Samuel Thomason, and daughter-in-law, Allison Thomason of Troutman, NC; granddaughter, Amy Troxell her husband, Joshua Troxell, and great grandson, Zander Troxell of New Bern, NC; granddaughter, Ashley Thomason of Raleigh, NC; and great granddogs, Tucker Thomason and Lilah Thomason.

There are no services planned at this time.
