Mary Katherine Goforth

Mary Katherine White Goforth, 77 years old, of Statesville, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Autumn Care, Statesville, North Carolina.

Mary was born on June 26, 1949, in Iredell County to the late Clarence William White and Pauline Baker White.

She attended Cool Springs High School, and she was a Member of Faith Baptist Church, 403 Barry Oak Road, Statesville, North Carolina. She enjoyed doing crossword/search word puzzle books, spending time with her family, and watching old western shows. Her grandson, Caleb, was the joy of her life. She enjoyed playing with him and spending endless hours together. She was married to Rodney Keith Goforth Sr. on February 14, 1975. They shared a wonderful 50 years of marriage before his passing on April 2, 2025. She worked at Sara Lee/Bali as a seamstress for many years. She also played softball through her work.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Keith Goforth. brothers; Grady, Junior, Eddie, and Elmer White.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Rodney Keith Goforth Jr. (Heather Goforth); grandson, Caleb David Goforth; grand-pup, Maggie; sisters Wilma Dean Houston of Mooresville; Gladis Smith (Mike) of Stony Point; Hazel White Fox of Statesville; Marie Maurset (Greg) of Statesville; brothers-in-law; Tony Goforth (Sherri) and Rev. Douglas Goforth (Debbie); along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel, 345 North Main Street, Troutman, North Carolina, with Rev. Douglas Goforth officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
