Keith Goforth

Rodney Keith Goforth, 68, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Keith was born October 24, 1956, in Iredell County, to the late Douglas Worlds (DW) Goforth and Caroleta Lipe Goforth. He attended West Iredell High School and he was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, small engine repair, antiques and going to flea markets.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four aunts and 2 uncles.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Mary Katherine White Goforth; son, Rodney Keith Goforth, Jr. (Heather); grandson, Caleb David Goforth; grandpup, Maggie; brothers, Tony Wayne Goforth (Sherri) and Rev. Douglas Lynn Goforth (Debbie); nephews, Brian and Brandon Goforth; nieces, Ashley Maiers and Kelly O’Neal (Richard); great niece, Evelynn Maiers; aunts, Sue Cook and Doris Williard; numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 7 in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Goforth officiating. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
