Thomas "Tommy" William White, Sr.

Thomas “Tommy” William White, Sr., 88, of Olin, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Willow Valley in Winston-Salem.

Tommy was born on October 13, 1934, in Iredell County to the late Claude and Lucy Jurney White. He was retired from Union Grove Saw and Knife and was a member of the Zodiac Club and Ruritan Club. Tommy proudly served in the US Army. He enjoyed dancing and gospel music.

Those left to cherish Tommy’s memory include his children, Thomas William “Bill” White, Jr. (Jill) of Panama City Beach, FL and Carla W. Sparks of Mt. Pleasant, SC, sister, Agnes Wooten (Bobby) of Olin, NC and grandchildren, Jenna Astin, Valerie Earman, Matthew White, Jay Sparks and Eve Sparks. Also surviving are eight great grandchildren and special nieces, Lynne Harner, Amy Goodman and Marigail Creasy.

A graveside memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Union Grove UMC with Jim Harner officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the fellowship hall at Union Grove UMC.
