I first met Shelley when I was a teacher’s assistant at Statesville Montessori School, when Taylor was in Kindergarten there. Shelley was an “on hands, on site” mom, who purposely was involved with tending to the needs and education of Taylor, as well as her husband, family, and friends. She was a willing, smiling, helper for all kinds of projects. Totally easygoing and a pleasure to be around!! She made the most of her God-given life. Well done, Shelley!!! My deepest sympathies to her beloved family!! Sweet Taylor, I am so sorry!

I've lost one of the truest friends I've ever had. I've known Shelley since high school. We drifted apart as kids do. But when I moved back home, there she was, cutting my girl's first curl. After that, Cecilia didn't hesitate to ask for latest craziest cut/style. I lost my only child just one month after she lost her dear John. Shelley was one of the first to arrive that horrible morning and she stayed by my side helping me in so many ways. Since then we have bonded like sisters and were each other's rock. I will miss her terribly. But I know she is in heaven, reunited with her true love John. And a true friend would wish nothing else. Love ya always Shelley!
