Robert “Bob” Glenn Moore, 83, of Statesville, passed away peacefully, Friday, August 12, 2022, at home surrounded by his wife and children.
Bob was born November 23, 1938, to the late William Wilson Moore and Lottie Bowman Moore. On August 15, 1958, he married Ruth Crawford Moore, who survives, and they celebrated sixty-three years together before his passing. Bob was honorable discharged from the US Airforce in 1959. He was employed with North American Tools and later opened his own business, Moore’s Saw and Tool.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brothers, Ed, Bill, Clarence, Johnie, Leroy and JC.
Along with his loving wife, Bob is survived by his children; Dawne (Rodney) Moose, Brian (Michelle) Moore and Leigh Ann (Jimmy) Williams, grandchildren; Tyler (Jessica) Kimbrell, Jaden (Nick) Miethe, Reagan (James) Gammons, Lance Moose, Kendall and Grayson Williams. Also surviving are his great grandchildren, River King, Hayden and Hudson Kimbrell, Peyton and Parker Miethe, brother, Ralph (Sylvia), other sister-in-law, Sylvia and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, especially Paige, Crystal, Chelsey and Aaron, for their wonderful care in these difficult times. Bob also had two wonderful caregivers, Penny and Veronica, who the family would like to thank for their support.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 16 at Concord Presbyterian Church on Taylorsville Hwy at 11:00 am with Pastor Liz Troyer and Chaplain Aaron Macemore officiating. The family will greet visitors one hour prior to the service, 10:00 to 11:00 am, in the church sanctuary.
