Paul Thomas Ingram, 85, of Statesville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at the Gordon Hospice House.
Paul was born on November 29, 1936, in Iredell County to the late Sidney G. Ingram, Sr. and Georgia Lippard Ingram. He graduated from Statesville High School and proudly served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Paul was a proud Marine and an avid Clemson Tiger Football fan. He spent all his working career in the glass business and was the retired owner and operator of Ingram Glass Works. Paul and his wife, Nancy, worked together to build a successful family business.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-one years, Nancy Daywalt Ingram, who died in 2017, his sister, Phyllis I. Lee and brother, Sidney G. Ingram, Jr.
Paul is survived by his children, Perry Ingram (& spouse Eric) of Charlotte, Jamie I. Allen, of Statesville, Margaret M. Hayes (& spouse Calvin) of Statesville, and Robert W. Messick (& spouse Yvonne) of Harmony. Survivors also include his grandchildren, Joshua Hayes, Leigh Ann Sievers, Bobbi Kay Messick, and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Troutman Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Mark Pitts and Rev. John Parks officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Salem UMC Cemetery, in Davie County following the funeral service. The family will visit with friends on Saturday evening, 6:00-8:00 pm, November 19, 2022, at Troutman Funeral Home.
