Paul Dale Carpenter

Mr. Paul Dale Carpenter, 74 of Statesville, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.

Mr. Carpenter was born in Iredell County, on August 20, 1948.  He was the son of Frances Pauline “Polly” Campbell Carpenter and the late Jack Donald Carpenter.  Dale proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.  He was a member of Bethlehem Church and was married to his beloved wife, Linda for 56 years. Dale enjoyed golf, fishing, and his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Along with his father, Dale was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Carroll Carpenter.

Those left to cherish the memory of Mr. Carpenter include his wife, Linda, his mother, Polly, his daughters Paula “Dawn” Carpenter Benfield (Mark Josey) and Tammy “Annette” Carpenter Weaver (Chad Eckard), his grandchildren, Samantha (James) Bingman, Celeste Benfield (Chase) Sharpe, Dylan Weaver (Brianna Deel), and Alyssa Weaver, his great granddaughters, Lydia Faith Bingman and Lily Ann Weaver, his brother, Jack “Terry” Terrell (Terri) Carpenter and his special cat, Buddy.

The family will visit with friends on Friday evening, August 18, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Troutman Funeral Home.  A funeral service celebrating Dale’s life will be conducted at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Bethlehem Church, Rev. Matt Nichols will officiate.  Burial with full military honors will follow the funeral service in the church cemetery.
