November 9, 1942 - January 1, 2019 Mrs. Lillie Mae Morrow Pless, 76, of Statesville, passed away, January 1, 2019 at Heritage Place in Statesville.
Mrs. Pless was born November 9, 1942 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Arthur Fred Ellis and Charlotte Gilleland, she was raised and adopted by the late Samuel S. Morrow. She was a graduate of Celeste Henkel High School and was married to the late Grover E. Pless, who passed away on December 6, 2018. She worked at various occupations and was later a homemaker.
She is survived by one sister, Patricia Baldwin (Buddy) of Statesville and two nieces, that she counted as her children, Tammy Lynn Shook of Statesville and Cindy Truax (Charlie) of Taylorsville. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two infant sons.
The family will gather with friends to celebrate the life of Lillie Pless, on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 pm at the home of Pat and Buddy Baldwin. Burial will be held at a later date.
