Judy (Wilson) Moody

Judy Wilson Moody, 78, formerly of Statesville passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Judy was born April 15, 1945 in Catawba County, NC and was the daughter of the late Warlick and Leona Childers Wilson. She was a graduate of Granite Falls High School and Mitchell Community College. She was married to the late George Thomas “Tom” Moody, IV. Judy was a self-taught artist and loved beach music and shagging. She was a friend to everyone who met her.

She is survived by one son, George Thomas Moody, V of Statesville, one daughter, Leigh Anne Cody (Ryan) of Atlanta, GA; one granddaughter, Zelie Cody; one sister, Gaye W. Moore (Tim) of Granite Falls, NC; one brother, Martin Wilson (Dawn) of Bermuda Run, NC; two nieces, Audrea Piersall (Steve), Elize Lee (Tyler); one nephew, Matthew Wilson and one great nephew, Cruz Lee.

A gathering of friends and celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Troutman Funeral Home from 2:00-4:00pm
