Johnathon Dewayne Adams

Johnathon Dewayne Adams passed away unexpectedly on December 19, 2021 in Jacksonville Florida.

Johnathon was born January 3, 1988 in Statesville NC and is the son of Kent and Cheryl (stepmom) Adams.  Johnathon loved almost all things to do with the outdoors.  He grew up riding four wheelers, dirt bikes and fishing.  He could do just about anything he put his mind to.  He was charming, charismatic, could tell a great “fish story”, is deeply loved and will forever be missed.

Johnathon was preceded in death by mom Susan Simmons Myers, grandparents Whitey and JoAnne Bowers, Ken and Angie Adams, John and Margaret Simmons.

He is survived by Son Carter, Parents Kent and Cheryl Adams, biological father Larry Jones, Brothers Aaron (Sabrina) Moore, Matt (Tabatha) Moore and Samuel Adams. Sisters Lauren Cartner and Sara Adams. Aunt Robin Woodward, Uncle Patrick (Stacie)Patterson, Aunt Trudy Patterson, Uncle Eddie Simmons, great aunts and uncles Joe and Shelby Cresimore, Jeff and Janet Adams, Blaine Adams. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many cousins who were more like siblings, Jayme Williams and Samantha McJunkin.

A memorial service is being held at The Cove Church Statesville campus Saturday, January 8 at 12:00 pm with Pastor David Porter Officiating. Receiving of friends will be prior to service at 11:00 am. A private funeral will be held at a later date.
