Charles "Buddy" Leonard Roberson

Charles “Buddy” Leonard Roberson, 89, of Mooresville, NC went home to Glory on Sunday, August 27, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. Buddy was born on December 23, 1933, in Danville, Va to the late Elmer and India Thomas Roberson.  He proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean conflict and was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

Buddy worked in the grocery business his entire career and retired as the Head Buyer for Ingles Markets after 24 years.  He enjoyed playing golf, gardening, watching sports, spending time with family and socializing with his friends at Terra Bella.   He maintained a positive attitude up until his last breath.

In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Virginia Reed Roberson, who passed in 2022 and his siblings:  Cassie, Elsie, Barbara Ann, Edna, Deanna and L.D. Roberson and his daughter-in-law, Marnie Roberson.

Those left to cherish Buddy’s memory include his sons, Tim Roberson (Lynn) and Kevin Roberson (Maria), and his grandchildren, Landon, Brian, Laura Beth, Jake and Josh (Sullivan) Roberson.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
