Carol Eileen (Peebles) Baksa

Carol Eileen Peebles Baksa, age 79, of Sherrills Ford, NC, passed away on Sunday April 23, 2023, at her home.

She was the wife of Ernie Baksa and the daughter of the late Edward and Esther Ditilo Peebles. She was born on December 28, 1943, in Youngstown, Ohio. Carol was a member of Lakeside Fellowship ARP Church where she volunteered in different ministries. She worked in international funds in the corporate banking industry. She loved fishing, singing, and sewing. Carol dearly loved her family. She was a graduate of Poland High School.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ernie Baksa; two sons, Jeffrey Baksa and Ernest (Rachael) Baksa and two daughters, Michelle Schellhorn and Shanon Baksa. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Joshua (Mallory) Schellhorn, Tyler Baksa, Mike Schellhorn, Valerie Baksa, Matthew (Carley) Schellhorn, Laura Baksa, and Jack Baksa. Three brothers, Charles, Ricky, and Dennis Peebles and two sisters, Debbie Cowan and Jackie Alquest also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 11:00 am in the chapel at Troutman Funeral Home with Pastor Joseph Alghrary officiating. Burial will follow in the New Perth ARP Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Troutman Funeral Home.
