Brenda Leckie Obituary

Brenda Campbell Leckie, 78, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Leckie was born on October 14, 1942 in Iredell county and was the daughter of the late Allan Campbell and Lena Osborne Swaim. She graduated from Cool Springs High School and Mitchell College. On December 22, 1963 she married William (Bill) Charles Leckie. She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church where she served as the treasurer and Sunday school teacher. She served as a Deputy Clerk for 20 years for the Iredell County Clerk of Court.

In addition to her husband of 57 years, she is survived by a daughter, Ginger L. Styers of Harmony; a son, Lee Leckie and wife Angie of Charlotte; five grandchildren: Zachary, Lena, Megan, Morgan, and Landon; a sister, Debbie Ward and husband Tommy of Little River, SC; sister in law, Carol Leckie of North Myrtle Beach, SC.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Campbell.

A memorial service to celebrate Brenda’s life will be held at a later date.
