Betty Olivia (Lytton) Long

Betty Olivia Lytton Long, 75, formerly of Statesville, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023 at Hospice House of High Point.

Betty was born April 14, 1948 in Catawba County and was the daughter of the late Fred H. and Zula Christenbury Lytton. She was a graduate of Bandy’s High School and also went to Beauty College in Charlotte. On June 20, 1970, she married Reid Neven Long, Jr., who survives of High Point. She was a former member of Race Street UMC and worked numerous jobs in Statesville, having spent her most time at Belk Department Store.

In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by one son, Michael Long (Christina) of High Point; one granddaughter, Olive Long; one brother, Benny Lytton (Linda); one sister, Patsy Koutsogeorgas and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00am Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Iredell Memorial Gardens with Rev. John Parks officiating.
