William Saburo Yamaji

William Saburo Yamaji, 94, of Troutman, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Gordon Hospice House following a brief illness. Mr. Yamaji was born in Seattle, Washington on October 23, 1918 to the late Tsuru and Kiku Yamaji. He worked at both Pilch Hatchery and Hubbard Farms as a chicken sexor. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Millie Kelly Yamaji, of the home; two sons, Sean (Stephanie) Yamaji and Billy (Sue) Yamaji; four daughters, Donna Yamaji, Cindy Yamaji-Gluiek, Sharon Weeks and Debbie Yamaji; step-daughter, Jamey Rimmer (Gerald); step-son, Derek Fox (Tammy); daughter-in-law, Darlene Baumhoff ; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Yamaji, and two brothers, Art and Roy Yamaji. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, N. C. 28625. The family wishes to extend their special thanks to Mildred Daniels and all the staff at Gordon Hospice House for all the help and special care they gave to him.
