William "Bill" Malcolm Plumley

William "Bill" Malcolm Plumley, 72, of Mooresville went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, March 29, 2012. He was born in Polk County on December 6, 1939 to the late George Francis and Rena Ross Plumley. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Brenda Howell Plumley of the home; two daughters, Michelle Plumley Cunningham of Statesville and Calista Plumley Brown (Andre) of Landrun, S.C.; and two grandchildren, Sierra Katelyn Brown and Ryland Cade Brown. Also surviving are brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Martha Howell of Statesville; sister-in-law, Alice Harper of Greenville, S.C.; brother-in-law, Kenny Howell of Ellenboro; and a number of special nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Yavonne Case and two brothers, Edward and Marion Plumley. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2012 at Southside Baptist Church in Mooresville. A memorial service will immediately follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Steve Gouge, Rev. Hal Greene and Rev. John Perry officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Southern Baptist Church Cemetery in Ruth. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Palliative Care Center & Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658. The family would like to extend their sincere gratefulness for the loving care and kindness given to Bill by special friends and family especially "Mini Me" Joyce Smith and family of Mooresville and Anthony and Christie Auman and families of Asheboro.
