Mike Dixon

William Michael Dixon, 70, of Statesville, passed away, Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Autumn Care of Statesville.

Mike was born October 25, 1948 in Iredell County and was the son of the late William Clyde Dixon and Dormilee James Dixon. He was a graduate of Statesville High School and Central Piedmont Community College. He worked at Iredell Memorial Hospital in many capacities for 37 years before retiring. He was accredited by the N.C. State Board in Phlebotomy and was a former member of Race Street United Methodist Church. He was an avid reader, enjoyed going to the mountains and was a civil war buff.

He is survived by a sister, Denise Dixon Cline (Eddy) of Statesville, one niece, Tabitha Cline Mills (Michael) of Indian Trail, NC, three great nieces, Marguax Mills, Gi Gi Mills, Phoebe Mills, two aunts, Nancy Dixon of Harmony, Nell James of Statesville, several cousins and special friends, Carlen Cline and Linda Hill-Mann.

Private graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 in Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Tom Sherrod officiating.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. James Foushee and to the staff of Autumn Care for their love and care of Mike.
