William "Keith" Kelly

December 26, 1931 - September 9, 2018 William "Keith" Kelly, 86, of Troutman, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Gordon Hospice House. He was born on December 26, 1931 in Old Fort, NC to the late William Carl Kelly and Irene Winecoff Kelly. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Millie Yamaji. Keith was always very active and loved working with his hands. He worked as a draftsman and engineer for Blanton and Moore for over 35 years. He especially enjoyed woodworking and fixing furniture. He also loved to spend time working in his yard and garden. Keith was loved by many and remembered as being exceptionally gentle and kind. He loved his family dearly and served as an excellent role model by living a faithful and devoted life. He was always quick witted and was just as quick to share a smile. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Peggy Robbins Kelly; sons, Lynn (Carol) Kelly, Jeff (Jane) Kelly, and Don (Sandra) Kelly; Daughters, Jane (Ray) Summers and Amy Feimster; eleven grandchildren, Jill (Dennis) Murdock, Kristi (Jimmy) Terry, Tyler (Tara) Summers, Russ (Katie) Kelly, Beth (Brent) Frye, Anne (Jeremy) Churchill, Brian Kelly, Jake Feimster, Molly Feimster, Megan Kelly, Mary Claire Feimster, and six great-grandchildren, Jackson Reid, Eli Murdock, Brycen Summers, Layla Frye, Liam Murdock, and Nolan Terry. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Michael Schlesinger, Dr. Ruby Grimm, and to Gordon Hospice House for their care and compassion. A celebration of Life service will be held at New Perth A.R.P Church on Saturday, September 22nd at 11:00 am with Rev. Dan Hazen and Rev. Robert Sherer officiating.
