Wallace “Wally” Monroe Inscoe 76, of Mooresville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on March 14, 2019.

Wallace was a retiree of Hunt Manufacturing in Statesville NC, where he met his wife of 28 years, Betty Hunt Inscoe.  For over 15 years Wallace has proudly worked at Wal-Mart in Mooresville where he enjoyed greeting guests, many who knew him affectionately as “the candy-man”.

Wallace was the devoted father of son Chris Inscoe of Stony Point, step-daughters Amy Roeder of Mooresville and Lynn Kordek of Statesville, daughter-in-law Mary Ann Inscoe and son-in-law Kevin Roeder.  Brother to Lamar Inscoe of Statesville and Danny Inscoe of Murrell’s Inlet, and sister Mavis Floyd of Ranlo.   Wallace was the beloved grandfather to Bradley, Steven, Timothy, Zack, Zoe, Jacob, Jason, and Lyla, and great-grandfather to Kacie, Mathew, Katherine, Colin, Cameron, Layton and Christian.  In addition to Wallace’s family he is survived by countless other family and friends who were truly blessed to know him.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, Abner and Estelle Inscoe and granddaughter Katie Inscoe.

Wallace enjoyed trips to the beach, fishing with his grandchildren, and most importantly making everyone smile with candy.    Wallace touched the lives of so many with his generosity and his unconditional devotion and love.
