Vanessa (James) Ostwalt

Vanessa James Ostwalt, 71, of Troutman, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at her home.

Vanessa was born on March 31, 1953, in Cocke County, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late Samuel James and Nova Henderson James.

In addition to her parents, Vanessa was preceded in death by her brothers, Gary, William and Carl James, sisters, Ella Grant and Willa Dean Fields and granddaughter, Tiffany Nicole Belcher.

Those left to cherish the memory of Vanessa include her husband of 22 years, Barry Lynn Ostwalt, daughter, Sonya Lewis, Newport, TN, granddaughters, Chassity Belcher, Stephanie Belcher, Kasandra Belcher, Hollie Lewis and Donya Lewis. Also surviving are her sisters, Alma Buckner and Brenda Kelley and favorite niece, Barbara Kelley.

Mrs. Ostwalt worked for Walmart for 21 years.
