Tommy Alvin Johnson

Tommy Alvin Johnson, Sr., 81, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024.

Tommy was born in Iredell County on June 25, 1942, to the late J.V. Johnson and MaeBelle Stack Johnson. He was a member of Forest Park Presbyterian Church and the owner of Johnson Builders.

In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his son, Tommy A. Johnson Jr. Those left to cherish the memories of Tommy are his wife, Pat Johnson; daughters, Elizabeth J. Starnes (Kelly) and Emily J. Murphy (Chris) grandkids Nic, Ross, Ella and Aidan; siblings, Johnny A. Johnson (Cynthia) and JoAnn Kreps; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Pat; committed dad to Liz, Em and Tommy Jr; proud pawpaw and best playmate to Nic, Ross, Ella and Aidan; protector to all those he loved including his dog, Cookie. Those who knew him remember him as an avid sports fan, cigar smoking, cussing mater.

A visitation will be Saturday, May 25 at 11am at Troutman Funeral Home.
