Todd Howard Laws passed away May 15, 2024, at the Gordon Hospice House.
He was proceeded in death by his father Tommy Howard Laws, paternal grandparents Maston (Janie) Laws, maternal grandparents Clyde (Eva) Anderson.
Todd was survived by his wife, Tina, son Sam (Blade), mother, Wilma Anderson Laws, brother Mark (Lori), his nieces and nephews, Jodie, Jason, Wesley, Austin, Savannah, Lucy Ann, Garrett and many more great nieces and nephews.
Todd was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, coach and mentor. Sam was his pride and joy and he helped him with all sports until he found his passion of baseball. Todd then became affectionately known as Coach by all of the West Iredell Warriors Baseball teams.
He also loved his music and playing on Friday nights. He was loved by so many with his willingness to help anyone. Those that knew him never saw his disability they only saw a great man that would help in any way he could, whether it was giving pitching lessons or guitar lessons just for the love of both. After retiring from coaching, he took up gardening for all to enjoy his harvest. He will be truly missed by his family and friends. He is now free of pain and singing in the angel choir. Rest in peace baby we all love you.
The family has asked no flowers just memorials in his memory to the Gordon Hospice House of Iredell County and Bethel United Methodist Church, Statesville.
The family also wants to thank Dr. Hatharasinghe and his staff and Gordon Hospice staff each and every one that crossed our path. We will forever be grateful for your kindness, love and support shown to us during the most difficult part of our lives.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 11:00 am at Troutman Funeral Home with Kim Ray officiating. Following the service, the family will assemble at the West Iredell Ruritan Club to meet with friends.
