Timothy Wayne Greer

Timothy Wayne Greer, 60, of Statesville, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at his home.

Tim was born May 2, 1965, in Iredell County, to David Len Greer and the late Barbarra Malcolm Greer. He was a graduate of South Iredell High School, class of 1983, and he was a mechanic at Bunton-Lebe, Inc.

In addition to his father, those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Amanda Adkins (Brandon) of Morganton, NC; sons, Travis Greer (Stacey) of Supply, NC and Andrew Greer (Meredith) of Winchester, KY; grandchildren, Landon Greer, Macy Greer and Austin Adkins; brother, Jody Greer (Marcia); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tim had a deep love for fishing; a tradition proudly shared among the Greer men and close friends. Some of his happiest moments were spent by the water — jawing, joking, and soaking in the peace of the outdoors. He also took pride in keeping a clean, well-kept yard, always making sure the grass was green and the lines were straight.

Tim was the life of the party at family gatherings. Whether cracking jokes or playfully teasing loved ones, he had a way of lighting up a room. He loved being the center of attention and was rarely seen without a smile on his face. His sharp wit and sense of humor made him unforgettable to all who knew him.

Most importantly, Tim found comfort and strength in his faith in Jesus. He often spoke of how God’s grace carried him through the tough times, reminding him that he was loved and forgiven. As Scripture reminds us in 2 Corinthians 12:9: “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, January 30, in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Troutman officiating. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
