Thomas "Tom" Dalton Cash, Jr.

Thomas “Chief” Dalton Cash, Jr., 80, of Troutman, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Tom was born on February 7, 1942, to the late Thomas Dalton Cash, Sr. and Ruth Flake Cash. He attended Forsyth County schools and graduated from Wake Forest and Georgia Institute of Technology with his Masters.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his sister, Sydna Sanford.

Mr. Cash is survived by his wife, Camilla McInnis Cash, children, Dalton Scott Cash (Julie), Kristin Camille Cash and Thomas Clayton Cash (Caroline) and six grandsons, Taylor, Dalton, John Thomas, Wells, Wade, and McInnis Cash.

He was a best friend, beloved husband, father, grandfather.  He chose the grandpa name Chief and it fit.  He was always ready to gather everyone and make plan.  He was and will always be Chief of the Cash family.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, September 23 at Troutman Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
