Terry Wayne Lambert

Terry Wayne Lambert, age 62, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. He was the husband of Diane Wallace Lambert and the son of the late Don and Shelby Lambert.

He was born in Iredell County and retired from the city of Statesville after 30 years working as an Assistant Fleet Manager. He attended North Iredell High School and was of the Baptist faith. Terry was known as a strong and humble man who loved to laugh and enjoyed practical jokes. He loved yard sales and helping others. He dearly loved his family.

Terry is survived by his wife of 45 years, Diane Lambert; two daughters, Sherrie (Shawn) Lemire and Misty (Hippie) Williams; and two grandsons, Jacob Wingate and Johnathan Cantner. Also surviving are his sister, Donna (Barry) Elliott; one brother, Randy (Lana) Lambert; and another sister, Robin (Ricky) Horne; one aunt, Lucy Johnson and multiple nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 11:00 am at East Side Baptist Church in Statesville, NC. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Rev. Jon Acker, Rev. Johnny Bolin, and Rev. John Parks will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, June 30, 2023, from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Troutman Funeral Home in Troutman, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Terry’s name to: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
