Tammy Denise Church

Jan 23, 1967 — Jul 13, 2026

Tammy Denise Church, 59, of Iredell County, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026. Born on January 23, 1967, in Wilkes County, she was the daughter of James W. Kestler and Patricia Bare Blevins.

Tammy’s greatest joys in life were her family—especially her beloved grandchildren—along with her cherished animals and her happy escapes to the beach. She loved her cats, Ollie and Molly Mae, with a devotion that warmed the hearts of everyone around her. Whether watching the waves roll in or simply soaking up the sun and salt air, the beach brought her a special peace and happiness. Her home was filled with laughter, unconditional love, and the quiet comfort of her furry companions. Tammy had a gentle spirit and a generous heart that touched all who knew her and she loved the Lord. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister whose love for her family was boundless.

She is survived by her mother, Patricia Blevins and husband Clinton; her father, James Kestler and wife Tracy; her children, Jeremy Kestler, Joshua Gregory, and Candace Baxter; and her cherished grandchildren, Labren Miller, Nolan Gregory, Dallas Gregory, Whitley Gregory, Sawyer Gregory, Cole James, Alice Sobkowicz, Sadie Baxter, and Emily Baxter. She is also survived by her siblings, Eric Kestler, Marty Kestler (Marissa), Jimmy Kestler (Amy), Lisa Church (Steve), Andy Kestler, and Hannah Campbell, all of Iredell County, along with many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Tammy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Kermit Worth and Pearl (Dishman) Bare of Wilkes County, and James Roy and Daisy Mae (Queen) Kestler of Iredell County.

Though her time on earth has ended, the love she poured into her family, the joy she found by the ocean, and the gentle way she cared for those around her—both two-legged and four-legged—will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, loyalty, and unconditional love that will continue to guide and comfort her family for generations to come.

Rest in peace, dear Tammy. You were deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
