Sylvia Sue Everidge

Sylvia Sue Everidge, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, at The Greens at Maple Leaf. Born on July 17, 1940, in Statesville, she was the daughter of the late Rowe Monroe Sherrill and Daisy Sells Sherrill. Sue, known for her bright personality, touched the lives of many throughout her journey.

Sue was a graduate of Statesville High School and was also a proud and active member of Western Avenue Baptist Church for an impressive 72 years, where she shared her love of music by singing in the choir, a role that brought her immense joy.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her brother, Cecil Sherrill and sister-in-law, Irene Sherrill.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 65 years, Bobby Everidge; son Michael Todd Everidge; granddaughter, Tiffany Everidge Plemmons and her husband, Ryan Plemmons of Murrells Inlet, SC; grandson, Beau Brinkley Everidge; great-grandchildren, Nolan Harrison Plemmons, Warner Everidge Plemmons and Miles Radcliff Plemmons.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 6 at Oakwood Cemetery with Dr. Andy Lackey officiating. Music will be provided by Rodney Harrison. The family will visit with friends following the service.

Arrangements for Sue are in the care of Troutman Funeral Home.
