Susan Elizabeth Mayberry

Susan Elizabeth Myers Mayberry, 69, of Statesville, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Susan was born May 29, 1956, in Iredell County, to the late Ralph H. Myers and Grace Susan Deal Myers. She was a graduate of Statesville High School and a member of Oakland Presbyterian Church. She loved to color, cook and bake and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great granddaughter.

Left to cherish Susan’s memory are her husband of 47 years, Gary Mayberry; daughters, Sherry (Larry) Blankenship and Laura (Matthew) Vincent; grandchildren, Sarah (Ricky Shumake) Blankenship, Andrew Blankenship, Ethan Blankenship, and Levi Vincent; great granddaughter, Nova Shumake; brother, Allen (Carole) Myers; several nieces nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, August 17 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the home of Sherry Blankenship, 510 Whites Mill Road, Statesville, NC 28677.
