Steven Wayne Turbeville

Mr. Steven Wayne Turbeville, 66, of Claremont, passed away, Thursday, May 16, 2019 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.

Steve was born April 3, 1953 in Winnsboro, SC and was the son of the late Thomas Allen and Ophelia Budding Turbeville. He was a graduate of South Iredell High School, class of 1971, where he played golf, was an all-state football player and a

state champion wrestler. He is married to Robin Miller Turbeville and was a retired carpenter. He was a loving, father, grandfather, husband and brother.

In addition to his wife, Steve is survived by seven children, Martin Turbeville (Hanna), Steven Turbeville, Loni Turbeville, Perrie Turbeville, Tess Turbeville, Adrienne Stroud and Travis Elliott (Heather); five grandson, three granddaughters, one sister, Georgia Cooper and two nieces. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Allen Turbeville, Jr., Donald Turbeville and two nephews, Spencer Cooper and Shannan Turbeville.

Memorial services will be held 3:00 pm Monday, May 20, 2019 at Troutman Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends following the service.
