Steve Sprinkle

Floyd Steven Sprinkle, 80, of Davidson, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024 at Gordon Hospice House. Steve was born October 2, 1943, in Iredell County, and was the son of the late Floyd Wesley and Flora Dell Henderson Sprinkle.

Steve was a graduate of Central High School and on July 2, 1977 he married Margaret Suddreth Sprinkle who survives. Steve was retired from Crane International and was a past Master of Snow Creek Masonic Lodge 571 and was a member of the Scottish Rite. Steve loved going to the beach, he enjoyed Davidson basketball and Carolina Panthers football and watching his grandson, Steven, play football, attending every game.

Steve is survived by three children, Mark Sprinkle (Robin) of Mooresville, Stephanie Austin (Todd) and Michelle Hamby (Bill) of Statesville; five grandchildren, Evan Sprinkle (Sarah), Sydney Taylor (Joe), Addison Sprinkle, Brooks Austin, and Steven Hamby; two great-grandchildren, Monroe Sprinkle and Wyatt Taylor; a beloved dog, Martini and numerous cousins and extended family members. He was preceded in death by a brother, Vaughn Sprinkle.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, September 8th at Beulah Baptist Church with Brian Burgess officiating.  Burial will follow at New Prospect Baptist Church with full masonic rites. The family will visit with family and friends following the graveside service. Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Austin, Brooks Austin, Bill Hamby, Steven Hamby, Evan Sprinkle and Joe Taylor.
