Stephanie Kaye (Whitener) Thomas

Stephanie Kaye Whitener Thomas, 35, of Statesville, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023.

Stephanie was born on April 20, 1988, in Iredell County, daughter of Virgil Whitener and Kim Wooten Whitener, who survive. She was a graduate of South Iredell High School and attended Beulah Baptist Church. Stephanie loved riding four wheelers, off roading, Jeep club and photography.

Those preceding Stephanie in death include her paternal grandfather, Robert Whitener, maternal grandparents, Coleman and Glenda Wooten.

In addition to her parents, Stephanie is survived by her husband, Michael Thomas, daughter, Alivia Thomas, son, Oakley Thomas, siblings, Nicole Perdue (Eli), Austin Whitener (Kellie), best friend, Amy Dement, paternal grandmother, Brenda Whitener, mother-in-law, Robin Wandoff (Doug), father-in-law, Kenneth Thomas (Amida), sister-in-law, Melissa Talbot (John). Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday July 30, 2023 at Beulah Baptist Church. The family will greet friends following the service. In memory of Stephanie's love for Jeeps, there will be a Jeep ride following visitation, starting at 4:00 p.m.
