Steve Philip Tsitouris Sr., lovingly known as "Papa T" to many, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Catawba Regional Hospice House in Sherrills Ford.
Steve was a native of Monroe and the youngest of six children. He graduated from Florida Southern where he met his wife, Patsy. He began his career as an installer for Western Electric in the early 1960’s and retired as a Vice President for AT&T International in 1996.
Above all of his accomplishments, Steve was most proud of his family and friends who to him were one in the same, as he was known by all as "Papa T". He has left a community he loved with the true gift of family, friends, love and laughter. He will be truly missed by all.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patsy; sons, Steve and wife, Harriet, and Michael and wife, Teresa, all of Troutman; daughter, Tamara Langdon and husband, Scott, also of Troutman; and six grandchildren, Rett and Sarah Tsitouris, Holden and Chandler Langdon and Dustin and Dylan Crawford. Also surviving are his sisters, Georgia Brooks and Sylvia Belk and husband, Don; brother, Ernest and wife, Sue; sister in-law, Dorothy Tsitouris; and 12 loving nieces/nephews and their families.
The family will hold a private graveside service on Saturday, January 9th.
