Shonie Babsom

Shonie Babson, age 56 of Stony Point, went home to be with the Lord on June 19, 2022.  She was born regionally on September 20, 1965, to her parents Ralph and Janice McDonald.  Those who have gone on home before her are her parents, grandson Hunter R. Babson, as well as many other beloved family members.

Shonie most loved spending time with her family and friends, enjoying tons of laughter over a hot cup of coffee.  Shonie enjoyed trips to the beach, to the mountains, and everything in between while cruising along with her “Mustang Family”.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Wayne Babson of 35 years; their three children, sons Anthony and Chris Babson, daughter Brittany (Babson) Smith and husband Kyle, step-daughter Erica Irwin, two granddaughters, Chloe Babson and Alivia Jones.  Additional family include siblings, Gary Carswell and wife Angela, Darryl Carswell and wife Lori, Ricky McDonald and wife Selma, Randall McDonald and wife Candace, and Denise Swink and husband Steven, aa well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Statesville on July 9 ^th 2022, with Rev. Curtis White officiating.  Visitation with family will be held at 3:00pm with the service following.
