Shirley T. Montford

Dec. 28, 1935 - Nov. 9, 2014 Shirley T. Montford, 78, of Statesville, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014 in Statesville, NC. She was born in Burgaw, NC on December 28, 1935 to the late Thomas Wells and Nora Lee Wiley. She is survived by her son, Richard Worrell; daughter, Kay (Randy) Pfeifer; grandsons, Travis Higgins, Ryan Pfeifer, Jeremy Worrell and Seth Worrell; granddaughter, Heather Pfeifer; great-granddaughters, Ariel and Violet Higgins; and great-grandson, Lucas Higgins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Montford; daughter, Rachel Worrell; and sisters, Bernice Warrell and Pearlene Wells. Memorial services will be held for Mrs. Montford on Tuesday November 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jesse Stroud officiating.
