Shawn Paul Watson

Shawn Paul Watson, 45, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2011 at his residence. He was born on May 25, 1966 in Springville, NY to Dale Lloyd and Diane Carol Piker Watson. He loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting and worked as a machinist with stock car engines. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Michelle Smith Watson and a daughter, Taylor Watson, both of the home; a sister, Kelly Watson (Lisa Pruchniewski) of Lincolnton; two brothers, Lance Watson (Yvonne Peterson) of Franklinville, NY and Richard Watson (Stephanie) of Machias, NY; three nephews, Levi, Christopher and Brandon; and a niece, Lacey. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Troutman Funeral Home.
