Seth Allen Paynter

Seth Allen Paynter, 25, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 11, 2025.

Seth was born on September 20, 1999, in Iredell County. He was a graduate of Statesville High School.

He was a fun-loving and a hardworking man, a man of his word. He dearly loved his family, and he enjoyed being outdoors, riding motorcycles, kayaking and working on cars. He loved running equipment and helping others.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, June and Sherman Crouse, and Edna and Jim Paynter; uncle, Larry Paynter, aunts, Kathy Bishop, Deborah Paynter, and Pam Whited.

Those left to cherish Seth’s memory are his parents, Danny and Gina Crouse Paynter; brothers, Dustin Paynter, and Cameron Paynter (Crystal); girlfriend, Emily Bowman; aunt, Sheila Cooper (Marty); uncles, Terry Miller (Lynn), James Crouse (Carol), Lewis Paynter, and Gary Bishop; cousins, Jamie Miller, Amy Miller, and Josh Crouse; special cousins, Robert and Kim Lockhart; fur baby, Bear and several cousins.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, May 16 at Western Avenue Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 17 at Western Avenue Baptist Church, with Pastor Keith Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Methodist Church Cemetery.
