Sandra Lee Heath Rash

Sandra “Sandy” Lee Heath Rash, 83, of Stony Point, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Gordon Hospice House.

Sandy was born on August 24, 1942, to the late William and Velma Heath. She was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church for over 50 years and attended Clear Vision Missionary Baptist Church for the last three years, where she was loved and cherished by both church families.

Sandy found great joy in the simple blessings of life. She loved to travel, play the piano, sing, and listen to music. She also had a special love for animals and, most importantly, her family. Her kindness, love, and devotion will be remembered by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 65 years, Rev. Mitchell Rash; daughter, Lisa Michelle Rash; son, Paul Martin Rash; grandchildren, Alexa Bradshaw (Aaron), Haley Rash, Ashley Fine, Cota Hodges (Alexia), and Lindsay Hayes (Terry); ten great-grandchildren; her special friend, Stephanie Pope Payne (Darrin); several nieces and nephews; and a very large family of Christian friends.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheri Dawn Dezern, and a grandson, Timothy Aaron Dezern.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Troutman Funeral Home with Rev. Mitchell Rash officiating. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm. A graveside service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the Victory Baptist Church Cemetery.
