Sandra Davis

April 18, 1962 - February 26, 2013

Sandra Dee Davis, 50, of Statesville, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born on April 18, 1962 in Sussex County, Delaware to James E. and Shirley Elliott Powell. Sandra was an avid reader and enjoyed writing. She was a loving mother and daughter and will be missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Shannon Davis of Statesville; son, Steven Davis of Davenport, Florida; two grandchildren, Alexis and Shia Davis; brother, Vernon Powell (Maureen); sisters, Paula Wells of Frankford, Delaware and Betty Jo Bailey of Millsboro, Delaware; nieces, Angela Nicole Witschi (David), Macie Powell and daughter, Lanie, Tiffany Wells and son, Khyle, and Madison Powell; and nephews, Eben and Vinnie McCabe and Richard Wells, Jr. Services are being arranged and will be held in Delaware at a later date.
