Sandra Lynn Brooks

November 13, 1946 - September 22, 2013 Sandra Lynn Brooks, 66, of Troutman, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013, at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. She was born November 13, 1946 in St. Clair, Michigan to Arbery Stone and Iva Hunt Stone. She is survived by her husband, Richard Brooks of Troutman; one son, Richard (Jeanne) Brooks, II of Dallas, TX; one daughter, Christina (Herbert) Brooks of Fort Mill, SC; two sisters, Carrol Ann Stone of Port Huron, MI, and Eilene Abraham of Phoenix, AZ; one brother, Dwayne Stone of Port Huron, MI; nine grandchildren, Heather Rogers, Randall Magee, Ryan Magee, Josh Brooks, Amanda Doss, Maegan Doss, Jeremy Barnes, Rochelle Watson, Kelly Bower; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Pat Woolman, her brother, Dale Stone, and stepdaughter Tena Marie Martin. Sandra was President of the Good Sam’s Country Cruisers Camping Chapter of Statesville, NC and a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at Broad Street United Methodist Church, Statesville on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Cokie Bristol and Reverend Bobby Goodman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
