Ryan James Mccoy

Ryan James McCoy, of Statesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024, unexpectedly. He was 29 years old. Ryan was an extraordinary son, brother, and friend. He was full of life and had the kindest, most caring soul!! Ryan was born July 28th, 1994, to Ronnie McCoy and Michelle Rogers. Ryan had a heart of gold!! Music was Ryan's passion in life. He self-taught himself to play almost every instrument you can think of, but he was one amazing bass player. He wrote many songs and had an amazing voice. He loved the outdoors, hiking and fishing. The only thing Ryan put above music was his family, especially his siblings, niece, and nephews. He is survived by his father and bonus mom Ronnie and Collen McCoy, his mother and bonus dad Michelle and Craig Rogers, his brothers, Derrick McCoy (Ilse), Joshua Rodriguez (Ava), Colton McCoy and his sister Madison Rogers, his grandfathers, James Coble Jr, Bill Rogers (Angela), Ron Parsons and grandmothers, Janet McCoy, Cindy Coble, and Nancy Parsons.  Also surviving are his uncles, Lanny McCoy, Adam Coble (Kelly), Brandon Rogers, his aunts Corinna Wilkins (BJ), Crystal Scott (Ryan), Lori Rogers, Lori Ann Hawks, Lorraine Fickett (Seth) his niece Amelia McCoy, his nephews Elijah McCoy, James Rodriguez, and Andrew Scott and many other loved ones. He is preceded in death by his brother Steven Rogers, grandfather, Jimmy McCoy, and grandmother, Janie Sechrist, and Aunt Marsha Outlaw. The memorial service for Ryan will be held at Providence Methodist Church this Saturday March 16th. We will receive friends and family from 2:00 to 3:15 pm. Service will be at 3:30 pm. 1273 Old Mocksville Rd, Statesville, NC 28625 Pastor David Bradley will officiate.
