Ruth "Arlene" (Norman) Brown

Ruth “Arlene” Norman Brown, 84, of Harmony, passed away, Thursday, February 23, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Brown was born April 30, 1938 in Irwin, PA and was the daughter of the late Dink Norman and Elva Lowry Norman. She graduated from Pitcairn High School in Pitcairn, PA, class of 1956 and later received her Masters degree in Dance Education from Dance Educators of America in New York City. She was married to the late Bobby James Brown, who passed away October 1, 2001. Previously she owned her own dance studio in Pitcairn, PA and later retired as a Supervisor from Gullistan Carpet. She loved her family, traveling and was the prayer warrior for her family.

She is survived by five children, Bobby “Skip” Brown, Russell Brown, Robyn Medina, Mark Brown, Melissa Milcher; seven grandchildren, Mike Bulla, Elizabeth Thompson, Brandon Medina, Taylor Brown, Trevor Brown, Talley Rakes, Emily Milcher; 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held 2:30pm Sunday, February 26, 2023 in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 1:30-2:30pm at Troutman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Harmony City Cemetery.
