Ruth Davis Zarbock

Ruth Davis Zarbock, 88, of Troutman, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Clare Bridge, Statesville Place. She was born in Covington, VA on May 19, 1923, the daughter of the late Robert and Hannah Whisman Davis. She was a Registered Nurse and received her training at Lewis-Gale Nursing School in Richmond, VA in 1945. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years, Richard Zarbock; a son, Richard "Buzz" Zarbock (Marti) of Winston Salem; a daughter, Bow Murdock of Troutman; five grandchildren, Hannah Welcher (Rob), Emily Reynolds (Troy), Kati Dunn (Drew), Kristi Wright (James) and Will Zarbock; and three great grandchildren, Gage and Chloe Welcher and Aden Wright. We are all blessed to have had our Nina in our lives. A memorial service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church on Shinnville Road in Troutman on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11 a.m. with the Father Edward Scott officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
