Ruby Lipe Wilhelm

Aug. 11, 1933 - Apr. 16, 2015 Mrs. Ruby Jean Lipe Wilhelm, 81, of Troutman, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015. She was born August 11, 1933 in Iredell County to the late Abraham Cornelius and Annie Josephine Beaver Lipe. She attended Amity Hill School and was a retired seamstress from Beauty Maid Mills. She was a wonderful mother and wife with a quiet gentle heart. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Johnnie Richard Wilhelm; son, Richard Alan; daughter, Joyce Wilhelm Gilreath; sister, Dorothy (Dot) Hager; three grandchildren, Jeremiah, Benjamin and Daniel Gilreath; three great-grandchildren, Luke and Sadie Gilreath, and Elizabeth Childers. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Minnie Lipe, Mary Bass and Betty Poole and brothers, Leonard, Paul, Brady, Keever, Johnny, Roy and Otis Lipe. The family will receive friends from 3- 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Troutman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, April 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Troutman Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Sheridan Stanton officiating. Interment will follow the service in Iredell Memorial Park.
