Roy Frank Lentz, Jr.

Roy Frank Lentz Jr., 82, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, at his home.

Roy was born June 1, 1943, to the late Roy Frank Lentz Sr. and Ruth Little Lentz. He was a graduate of Harmony High School and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He was the co-owner of Lentz Septic Tank Service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Lentz.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara Nichols Lentz; brother, Keith Lentz (Teresa); nephews, Jarrid Lentz (Jeanie), Jason Lentz (Nichole), and Trent Faulkner (Marigrace); niece, Dee Epperson (Lester); and great-nieces and nephews, Ashton Lentz, Tanner Lentz, Addison Lentz, Peyton Lentz, Leah Epperson, Taylor Epperson, Daniel Faulkner, and Madison Faulkner (Connor).

He will lie in state from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Troutman Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. John Parks officiating.
