Roger Lee Cleary, Sr.

Roger Lee Cleary, Sr., age 73, of Statesville, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, after a brief illness.

Roger was born September 18, 1951, to the late Harvey Cleary and Isabelle Cleary Eastridge in Statesville, NC. Both parents, as well as his stepfather, Fred Eastridge, preceded him in passing. Roger’s life’s work was in law enforcement, and he was retiree of the Iredell County Sherriff’s Office.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Jean Evans Cleary; son, Roger Cleary, Jr.; grandchildren, Hayden and Jaylen Cleary, who were his pride and joy; many sisters in law and brothers in law, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

No services are scheduled at this time, but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
