Rodney Allen Grant

Rodney Allen Grant, 60, of Statesville, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Rodney was born March 30, 1966, in Iredell County and was the son of John Walter Grant and Brenda Sue Dellinger Grant. He attended West Iredell High School and was the owner and operator of Rodney’s Welding.

He was an amazing father who loved both of his kids. He was a good friend who would help anyone and everyone out, even if it meant taking the shirt off his back. He loved to ride motorcycles and go on trips with his friends.

In addition to his parents, Rodney is survived by his daughter, Lena Grant; his son, Rodney Allen Grant Jr.; sister, Shana Grant; brother, John D. Grant; and granddaughter, Nova Grant.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Crawford Farms on Saturday, August 8 at 2:00 pm. A visitation will take place from 10:30 am until 12:00 pm at Troutman Funeral Home.
