Robert Lane Windsor

Robert Lane Windsor, 52, formerly of Charlotte, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in Raleigh, NC.

Lane was born on January 11, 1969 in Charlotte to Linda Elliott Taylor of Statesville and the Late Luther L. Windsor. He graduated from South Mecklenburg High School and attended UNC Charlotte. He had a career in the hospitality and restaurant industry and was a connoisseur of fine foods. Lane loved playing and watching basketball and animals.

In addition to his mother, Linda Elliott Taylor, Lane is survived by his step-father, William L. Taylor of Statesville, one aunt, Joan E. Wood of Greenville, SC, one uncle, Brice R. Elliott of Birmingham, AL and two brothers, Lee Windsor of Columbia, SC and Bill Rudder of West Jefferson, NC.

A memorial service will be conducted on a later date.
