Robert Lee Montgomery

Robert Lee Montgomery, 72, of Troutman, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, July 22, 2012. He was born in Iredell County on November 5, 1939 to the late James Floyd and Annette Schwartz Montgomery. He was retired from The Coca-Cola Company where he worked in maintenance. He is survived by his dear wife of 54 years, Beverly Hager Montgomery; sons, Randy (Vicky) Montgomery and Kevin (Renee) Montgomery; daughter, Tracy (Ralph) Wallace; sister, Sarah (Harold) Williams; brother, William Montgomery; grandchildren, Justin and Shanna Wallace and Maddison and Zachary Montgomery; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved mother-in-law, Mary Lou Hager, and his treasured cockatiel, Sam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Montgomery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Troutman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Fallstown Baptist Church with the Rev. David Troutman officiating.
